Tattooed Sky

I have been working at a snail's pace on creating a web site for my art work and I'm actually seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I worked out some of the elements and my buddy Darin is constructing it for me. So, hopefully soon I will have something to show. The above illustration is for the main page which will have the title "Tattooed Sky" on it. The first one is without the black outline and it may not be noticable after scanning, but it had a sort of glow to it that was kind of cool. I added the ink in trying to get a "tattooed" line look and I hope that it doesn't lose that glow from the first one. So, what do you think?

Good Morning, Bruce.

I'm glad you're putting a website together -- that's such a necessity these days. I will look forward to seeing it!

This looks like it will be a very different and cool web page. I like the free-form design especially and the use of complimentary colors in this image. I prefer the one with the black outline; I like the contrast between hard edge and soft form.

Cheers to you,

Ana

Good Evening, Ana,

I just saw some of the progress being made on my web site and I can't believe that it could (should) be soon! I can't wait. It seems like I've been talking about doing it for years...

I'm still not sure if I like the black outline better, but it is the one that I'm using for the site. I had thought about filling in between the lines, too, but decided against it.

Later gator.

I also enjoy the black outlined one - but then again I myself tend to outline everything. I'm glad you decided not to fill in the space between the lines. It's pretty cool the way it is.

Love the color and the expressive flow of the form!

Thanks for the comments, J.H. I go back and forth between what I like best, but overall I'm happy with it. I have that same problem of outlining things, or wanting to, anyways. it must be the cartoonist in me!

Alina, thank you for gracing my blogage. I checked out your blogs and Wow, you do some awesome stuff, lady. I'll be checking in often.

As an outsider to the artist world, Bruce, the outlined one is my preference also. I hope you don't mind but I passed your blog to a few of my friends also who may just drop in on you. I am telling them how talented you are and you could use a few pieces overlooking their mantle or gracing their walls.
