This here is the next strip for the cartoon that my coworker/cohort Darin Palmer and I created when we worked for a soul sucking mattress company way back when. The people were based on actual workers, the duck, kind a sort of... We had a whole personalities for the ducks that were nearby.

This is one of the sketches that I did for Friday night's Drink N Draw event at the Cherry Capital Comic Con. The drawings were then auctioned off the next night for charity.

This Memorial Day weekend, I will be at the Cherry Capital Comic Con just on the outskirts of Traverse City at the Grand Traverse Resort. Come on out and see a lot of cool creators and media guests. This is always a fun show!
I will have copies of my latest collection of cartoons, The Feral Cartoonist.
Also, I will have copies of my latest comic book, Second Star. It's a long time in the making, but I'm well into issue #2 and having a blast.

This past Saturday found us heading downtown to a concert and with all of the detours because of construction, we had to go down some heavily trafficked side streets. Lo and behold, we had the utmost joy of encountering this delightful guy. He was coming out of the parking lot of the beer store, pedaled his way into traffic without looking or caring, causing a couple of cars to take drastic measures to avoid hitting this future Darwin Award winner. Then, of course, heads right towards us, head on. We had nowhere to go. He had choices, though. But the choice he selected was to pedal his bike while balancing his beer purchase on the handlebars and yelling some generic racist crap, getting in his way, blah, blah, blah. Delightful lad.
Here is where I get my inspiration to sketch these modern days ignoramuses.

Tomorrow, if you find yourself on Belle Isle, stop on by the Conservatory and Aquarium for the Annual Koi Festival. The festival has taken place of the annual Koi Transfer that brought the koi fish out from their basement winter dwelling and back out in the pond for the summer. Since the koi now reside outdoors year-round a celebration of the koi and Japanese culture has taken its place.
The above design by yours truly is being used for buttons to be given out, probably for a small donation.
In some small secret circles, this event might be known as the Corey Festival. You can ask around, but it might be denied...

This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day and this year I will be at Liberty Comics in Roseville, MI alongside my Stoopid Stuf co-creator Kevin Minor, who is also hot off the presses with his new book Mega Awesome Notebook. It's a cool book and fun for all ages, so stop on by, get some free comics and purchase something from Kevin and I.

I'm told that festivities start at 10am. Call Liberty for all the details.
