I've been working on some things that I can't show yet, so here is a quick gar sketch.

Bananibal Lecter

Here is last week's Stoopid Stuf cartoon sans color and text. This one has to be one of my favorites of all the cartoons that we have produced. I don't know why, it just makes me giggle. Sometimes humor hits you over the head and sometimes it's very subtle, like this one. Head on over to Stoopidstuf.com to see it with Kevin's colors and make sure to pick up a copy of Bifocals and Beer Goggles, the first Stoopid Stuf collection.

Visigoths

Here's another wonderful driver. My buddy Bill and I were on our way through Detroit to go to a meeting to discuss an upcoming gallery show and we were driving west on I-94 to the Lodge. Now, anyone who is familiar with this interchange, it's not a difficult one. Well, this cretin flies up on me and does the whole weaving back and forth to let me know that she wants me to get out of her way. I'm doing above the speed limit and there are cars ahead of me. Nowhere for me to go. This type of behavior really pisses me off and considering how close she was to my jeep, I slowed down to the speed limit. Not good enough for Mama Cass as she sped even closer, not thinking that was possible. As we finally entered the new freeway she flies up and around me nearly hitting me in the process. Then, she proceeds to cut off a couple more drivers and gets off at the exit for Motor City casino forcing other drivers to veer out of her way. Of course, she was doing something that was as life and death as gambling away her money. Other people's lives be damned!

Of course, besides having a huge head, it was swept back to a point and she had the usual Visigoth features; angry expression, huge protruding brow, sneer, etc. She had a mouth that looked like something straight out of a Dr. Suess book, very Grinch-like. Plus, her hair was pulled back way too tight at the top of her head. I should be a little more compassionate, as she was probably in a lot of pain.

Well, that's it for this week's episode of the Visigoths. Stay tuned for more, I'm sure.

Recent Sketch Card Commissions

Here are two sketch card commissions that were done recently. The first is a bikini girl in a Christopher Lee pose from the '73 flick, The Wicker Man and the second I had free reign with, so decided to use the bikini girl with that lagoon guy. Hit me up if you want your own personal sketch card.

Visigoths

It seems that those who are the loudest and the dumbest and the most aggressive are the ones that people listen to and follow. Just look at politicians.

Well, this wonderful specimen thought just that about himself. As I was waiting my turn at the gas station for an available pump, this douche in his Chrysler 300 whips around just as a person was leaving cutting off not only myself, but another waiting driver, as well. Then, to add to his arrogance, he stops and doesn't back into the space, but continues talking on his cell phone (yes, of course, there was a cell phone involved). I have no patience for selfish, arrogant morons, so I pulled into the spot. Well, he leans out his window calling me an asshole and that I cut him off, blah, blah, blah. Before he could finish, I unloaded on him, actually surprising myself at how quick it all came out. He sped away.

And he actually had to show me his cell phone.

Storyville

This is an illustration that I did for the Kickstarter rewards for the Storyville graphic novel by Gary Reed and Wayne Reid. The story is set in early 1900's New Orleans in the Storyville (red light) district and involves the murders of prostitutes. In the real life Storyville you could select a lady of the night in one of their "blue books." This would be the type of pic one might see in that book.

So, head on over to the Kickstarter page and help Gary and Wayne put their book out!

Visigoths

Most of these Visigoths are behind the wheel sadly enough, as was this winner. They never seem to understand that driving is a privilege and not a right. So, this enlightened soul didn't affect me directly other than I wasn't going fast enough for him so he rode my tail for a few seconds. I was even going over the speed limit, too. So, he speeds around me and does his performance for other drivers letting all of them know that he is on the road and that you should either get out of his way or admire his cheesy clown car. Of course with individuals such as this guy, they never seem to know exactly where that are going just as long as they can scitter across the road like a drunken insect with no purpose. And for his finale, as he is behind me and in the far left lane he decides it's wise to cut straight across traffic in the next two lanes to get gas at a BP station. Of course it's a BP station. Where else would a douchebag get his gas from?

And what is it about these Visigoths that they all resemble one another, despite race, age, sex, etc. They all seem to share similar features, i.e. sagging half open eyes, high sloping forehead, protruding lower jaw and a heavy and thick brow. Oh, and a cell phone.

Beware the Visigoths, they are everywhere.
