Here is a landscape that I did back in the fall. This was one of those paintings that started out all wrong and just couldn't get it to where it needed going. But, I stuck with it and I think it came out alright in the end. I don't use this technique all that often, so when I do, it's a struggle to get out of the starting gates. It was tricky for me to get the atmospheric perspective right and the kind of colors that are needed when doing something like this, but I really like how the arch itself came out with its reds and browns. 
How about some more sketch cards? Sure, you got it. Here are the 25 Zombie vs. Cheerleader sketch cards that I did for 5Finity back in the fall. The set was released earlier this year, I believe, so they are out and about. And I do have 5 blank cards left if anyone is interested in a custom made zombie/cheerleader image.

This Saturday, February 6th from 10-3 the Belle Isle Aquarium will be open for the island's Shiver On The River event. People can come and see the building and learn about the efforts to re-open. There will be one tank that has fish in it and as the FOBIA folks say, "we will open this aquarium one tank at a time if we have to!" The Conservatory, the old Casino, the Dossin Museum and the Nature Center will all be open and have activities scheduled, as well. I will be there to draw cartoon fish and other aquarium related pictures, so come on down and enjoy a relaxing day on Belle Isle.
