Here is part two of the Bottle Breaking Hippie Kid episode. As you can plainly see, my imagination was already off and running at such a young age. Not much has changed since. Every time I see one of those Chinook helicopters flying out of Selfridge I always think of that day and laugh at what I thought was coming to me.

Well done!
My, my my... how is the air up there, by the way?
Don't laugh too hard, those helicopters might actually be coming for you someday, when they round up all the hippies, weirdos and dissidents....(Puts tinfoil hat back on)
Wha...? Here in America? Never....
The question is, who will big brother hit first? That tinfoil weirdo in Chicago or the one here in Detroit?
:P
Hey....I had a situation like that happen to me when I was a wee lad also, Bruce. Only, they did get me. The militia told me they would tell Grandma and Grandpa. I shook with fear. Several days went by and nothing. My fear unfounded? Not to be...three weeks later a letter came in the mail and I spent the remainder of the summer in the yard working. C'est la vie.
Unkle Chuck
BTW Bruce...the fellow I met the other day loved your work. He is a background artist for "King of the Hill" series. He also has a site. chuckmaiden1.blogspot.com
He said he wouldn't mind corresponding with you. Who knows, California could be a nice place to work....Churgle, Churgle!
Hehe, I always knew you were the subversive type. Just yard work and no grounding?
I went to his site yesterday and checked out his stuff. Quite impressive. I'd like to see more of his watercolor backgrounds.
Oh yeah, the yardwork meant no leaving the yard, period. I had Saturday and Sunday afternoon to frolic with one of my buddies, but other than that....in the yard. We did have the best curb appeal that summer. LOL
He also said he would like to see more of your works. Perhaps a dropped line or two will achieve both your wishes.
