Monoliths suddenly appearing are always Ominous, which is the official word prompt for today.

Inktober Day 29: Shoes

 

Today's word prompt is: Shoes. So, you get the best shoes.

Inktober Day 28: Float

 

Today's official word prompt, which is 'Float,' brought to mind a six grade musical number that we would sing at times. It went something like this:

Gobs and gobs of grimy, greasy gopher guts

Mutilated monkey meat

Prehistoric piggy feet

French fried eyeballs

swimming in a bowl of blood

And you forgot your spoooooon...

But, we have straaaaaws...

The things I remember. This eyeball isn't French-fried, though.

Inktober Day 27: Music

 

Rattle them bones! Today's official word prompt is: Music. 

Inktober Day 26: Hide

 

Dude Skin Rug? Does one put something like this in front of a fireplace or keep hidden in a dungeon? What would Marie Kondo think? 

Today's official word prompt is: Hide.

Inktober Day 25: Buddy

 

Today's official word is: Buddy. So, maybe not so much of a buddy... You know how it all turned out if you've seen the movie How To get Ahead In Advertising. So, 'Buddy' might be a very loose definition here.

Today's word prompt is: Dig. Gravediggers dig.

Inktober Day 23: Rip

 

Today's official word prompt is: Rip. Instead of some poor doofus being torn in half, I thought a cool tombstone with a doofus on it might be more entertaining. 

Inktober Day 22: Chef

 

Today's word prompt is: Chef. I had thought maybe a zombie chef, but how could I pass up a muppet? 

Inktober Day 21: Sleep

 

Today's official word prompt is: Sleep. Sleep tight and don't let the shadowy imps creepily watching you bite.

Today's official word prompt is: Coral. 

 

Inktober Day 19: Dizzy

 

Today's official word prompt is: Dizzy. I think that this one came up a couple of years ago and was going to go with the same image... one of Dizzy Gillespie. But, I didn't want to repeat, so went with a tilt-o-whirl type thing. Dizzy.

Today's official word prompt is: Trap. Those little imps, they just can't resist a jar of skittles...

Inktober Day 17: Storm

 

Today's official word prompt is: Storm. I thought of using the Marvel character, but two days in a row? Naw. 

Inktober Day 16: Rocket

 

Today's word prompt is 'Rocket.' I was going to go with some poor schmuck standing absentmindedly under a rocket at the time of launch, but decided that an angry Raccoon would be much more fun to draw. I'm sure many came to the same conclusion.

Inktober Day 15: Outpost

 

Today's official word prompt is 'Outpost.' With a creepy cowpoke thrown in.

Inktober Day 14: Armor

 

Today's official word prompt is 'Armor.' 

Inktober Day 13: Dune

 

I'm sure that everyone will be doing a sandworm for today's official word prompt: Dune. It's all about the spice.

Inktober Day 12: Slippery

 

The word of the day is 'Slippery.' Who hasn't woke up first thing in the morning and slipped on some guts?

Inktober Day 11: Disgusting

 

Today's official word prompt is 'Disgusting.' I'm sure that someone out there will find something delicious in this. 

Inktober Day 10: Hope

 

Today's official word was a tough one: Hope. How can I make this Halloweenish? Infection can be ghoulish, especially if one is part of a particularly dumb administration...

So, there ya go.

Today's official word prompt is 'Throw.' Who better to throw something than the good ole Headless Horseman?

Inktober Day 8: Teeth

 

Today's official word prompt is 'Teeth.' And for those not in the know, this shark is not a figment of my imagination, it actually existed at one time. It was called a helicoprion. Look them up, as they were a wild looking shark.

Inktober Day 7: Fancy

 

Today's official word prompt is 'Fancy.' What could be fancier than a fancy hipster vampire? I know, aren't they all? This one even has skinny jeans and a scarf.

This is a wordless kind of graphic novel type approach to illustrating a book, in this case, I chose Master of the World by Jules Verne.

Today's word prompt is Rodent. So, an R.O.U.S. for your amusement. I hope. I always liked that you could tell that there was a human inside those costumes.

Today's word is: Blade. I originally thought of something hacking something, but then again, it's his name. It's right there.
