Urgin' Sturgeon Sticker

 

A few years ago I did a sturgeon as a floor decal for the Belle Isle Aquarium when they acquired some of the said fish So, I decided to make up a chonky version as a sticker.

Prints For Sale

 

For the past few weeks I have been uploading various prints that I have for sale onto my website store. Usually, I sell them at comic cons and such, but have switched my focus to selling more books. But, I still have various amounts of each one (some have sold out) and they are now available on my website for those who are interested in such things. I still have a few more to add. The above image is one that I did before settling into more of a pop culture vein, but one that I am still happy with, nonetheless. 

Zombuggeez™ Stickers, Part Three

These just arrived Zombuggeez™ stickers are now available on my web site's store. This is the third of six that will be available (even more in the future!). Zombuggeez™ Stickers

I will be having a new line of stickers available on my website and this is the first. Zombuggeez™ are oversized zombie-like creatures driving hot rods and race cars. As I stated in a previous post, these are in the vein of Big Daddy Roth, BK Taylor and others, hopefully settling in with my own vibe. 

So, I have some of these and will introduce a few others very soon. You can purchase them from my website  ( in the store), or if the fates decree, at a con or show in the undecided future.

New Website!

So, I finally have a new website, with a store even. The whole purpose of the site was to have a store where I can sell my comics, books and other stuff, so finally, that is up and running. There's not much there right now, but I will be adding selected sketch cards and some new items that are in the works. Other than the store, there's a selection of my works in different categories from over the years. A portfolio, for sure. 

I know the timing for a store couldn't be worse since we are in the midst of this crappy pandemic, but if you have the inclination to look around, that would be great.

LOTR Arts Article

Recently, I was asked to right up an article about my experiences drawing on the Lord of the Rings Masterpieces II sketch card set put out by Topps some time ago. The sight, which is called LOTR Arts is dedicated to all things Lord of the Rings art wise, from a collectors and an artists point of view. 

So, I was also encouraged to write about my career, as well, which was good, since I don't think that I had enough to maintain anything interesting with just the LOTR sketch cards, so I did up a brief summary of my career so far, trying to hit on all the areas that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of. I'm not sure it's all that interesting, but if you are so inclined you can see it here. It's the first article. And be sure to check out the other articles by collectors and artists, as well as the other areas of the site. 

The above sketch card is the only card that I ever kept for myself, being that it was from the first set that I ever worked on. 

Tattooed Sky - my website

Finally, my website is up and running. I think it needs a few tweaks, but all in all, my buddy Darin who put it all together for me did a great job. So, by all means use the link in the right hand column and tell me what you think. The name of the website is the same as this here blog, Tattooed Sky (www.tattooed-sky.com). We're all travelling under a tattooed sky these days. Just perfect for us illustrators.

Tattooed Sky

I have been working at a snail's pace on creating a web site for my art work and I'm actually seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I worked out some of the elements and my buddy Darin is constructing it for me. So, hopefully soon I will have something to show. The above illustration is for the main page which will have the title "Tattooed Sky" on it. The first one is without the black outline and it may not be noticable after scanning, but it had a sort of glow to it that was kind of cool. I added the ink in trying to get a "tattooed" line look and I hope that it doesn't lose that glow from the first one. So, what do you think?
