I finally finished my Cryptids Artist Proof sketch cards that I have had sitting around since 2012 when the initial set was released via Viceroy Cards. The links are below if anyone is interested in obtaining them.

Artist's Choice Sketch Cards

Below are the sketch cards that I did from Viceroy Cards just released Artist's Choice set. This means, of course, that it was our choice as to what we wanted to draw, as long as no one has the license. I chose to do animals as people, or people as animals. It could go either way. I even gave them silly names (stupid, really), which are on the backs. I'll post my Artist Proofs soon.

Space 2 Sketch Cards

Here is my contribution to the Space 2 card set put out by Viceroy Cards last month. They usually have interesting subject matter to work with and this one was a lot of fun to do. And these were done on thicker than usual card stock, very high quality for the discerning collector.

The Deep Sketch Cards, Part One

These are a few of the sketch cards that I did for The Deep set by Viceroy Cards. I'll post the rest later in the week. As with the Insectae set, this one was a lot of fun and I think for my Artist Proof cards I may explore some prehistoric sea life. Unless, of course, someone might want to commission something else…

Insectae Sketch Cards, Part Three

These are the last of my Insectae cards done for the Viceroy Cards set that is due out this month. Being from Michigan, I just had to include a fish fly, as we call the crunchy little critters. I have five Artist Proof blanks that can be commissioned, so if you want a bug card, get in touch with me and I'll do one up!

Insectae Sketch Cards

Here is a preview of the 25 cards that I did for the Insectae set that will soon be released by Viceroy Cards. This was an unique set and I've been seeing quite a few great looking cards from some of the other artists on this set, so be sure to check it out.

Recent Sketch Card Commissions

Here are a few sketch card commission for a collector across the pond. The top two are artist proof cards from the Carnival set from Viceroy Cards and all of the bottom cards are on my personal stock, as you can see. The common theme in these cards is the polka dot bikini girl in various misadventures.

Carnival Sketch Cards

Here are the sketch cards that I did for the Carnival set that will be forthcoming next week (I believe)from Viceroy Cards. A very different set than I am used to doing, that's for sure. You can expect that from Viceroy, as I am learning, they do very unique sets.

Cryptids Sketch Cards

A new sketch card company came on the scene this past year by the name of Viceroy Cards and I was asked to be a part of their first set, which is made up of cryptids. Cryptids are the stuff that urban legends are made from, local folklore so to speak. So, you might have creatures like yetis or sasquatch and mermaids to a more uncommon one like fur bearing trouts. An interesting collection of creatures to choose from. And what makes this set more unique from others is that the cards themselves are quite thick and are letterpressed (is that the right way of saying this?), stamped with the Viceroy logo on the front. A lot of care and detail went into making these cards. Fellow artist Ashleigh Popplewell was the designer and consultant for this set and she did a great job. You can check out her work here.
