Cherry Capital Comic Con
I will be leaving in a couple of hours for Traverse City where I'll be a guest at the Cherry Capital Comic Con. I will be at table #509 in artists alley and will have copies of the Stoopid Stuf cartoon book, Bifocals and Beer Goggles. Kevin Minor will be on hand as well, to sign copies.
A couple of my artist buddies did the posters for this year's show, Jay Fosgitt and Jeff Manley. It's a great one-two punch and I think the best posters yet, so pick up your copy this weekend.
See you there!

Punching The Clock Guest Pin Up, Part Two
This past weekend at the MSU Comics Forum I ran into Rob Humphrey and received my copy of Punching The Clock, Volume Two: The Daily Grind, the printed book of the web comic dine by Rob and Jeff Manley. I was happy to provide a pin up and they actually printed it! I did have fun with it and you will have fun reading the book, so run out and get a copy! You can check out the web site for all the hilarity and info on getting a book. Go here now!

Punching The Clock Guest Gig, Part One
For today and tomorrow I have the fortunate opportunity to be the guest artist on Rob Humphrey's and Jeff Manley's web comic, Punching The Clock. Jeff needed some much earned time off since he replicated recently and wanted to spend some time with his expanding family. Congrats to Jeff and family! So, in the meantime, a few of us cartoony folk have chipped in and done some strips that include Jay Jacot, Leslie Gauthier, among others. Above is my first strip, but by all means head on over to PTC and check out all of the strips. They have a huge following and it's well deserved. This is one of the better web comics currently out there.
Happy Festivus everyone!

MSU Comics Forum 2013
Official event poster created by keynote speaker Nick Bertozzi
Lost In Spaces Cover
Friday evening will find me in Ypsilanti for the Comics, Cartoons and Caricature show and the following day I will be in Lansing for the 2013 MSU Comics Forum. This will be my third year at this unique show focusing on the art of comics and will feature such artists as Jay Jacot, Ryan Claytor, Bill Pulkovski, Tony Miello, Jay Fosgitt, Chad Sell, Joe Foo, Jeff Manley, among many other wonderful talents.
I will be unveiling my 2013 artist's sketchbook (finally!) at this show, so if you collect such things, this will be a chance to pick one up. Everything in the book are directly from my sketchbooks, raw and unpolished. as they are. Most people do not get to see the scribbles from the sketchbooks, so I was happy to go that route.
So, if you are in the Lansing area on Saturday, stop by and say hi, or eh, or whatever.

Yoda
I am participating in a fundraiser for a little boy named Matthew from northern Michigan who is receiving treatment for a brain tumor, which is being put together by the Cherry Capital Con's very own Rob Humphrey. Matthew is a huge Star Wars fan, so Rob contacted a bunch of us arty types to draw up something Star Wars related that we could give to him to uplift his spirits during his struggle. And from what I have heard, Lucasfilm and the 501st are involved with the assistance of creating a book of the artwork that can be sold to raise further funds for Matthew and his family. I will definitely post further details as I receive them.
Some of the other artists on tap for this project seem to be mostly Michigan based and they include such talents as Jay Jacot, Guy Allen, Jeff Manley, Matthew Minor, among others.
Above is my contribution, an aggressive Yoda fighting the good fight. As usual, click on the image to engorge.
And keep Matthew in your thoughts while he fights the good fight.
