Stoopid Stuf: 50 Shades Of Stoopid
As with American Heaven, Kevin Minor and myself will released a second book this weekend at the Motor City Comic Con. This one will be both Stoopid Stuf books collected together, but in black and white (and shades of stoopid) at a cheaper price than the full color versions. This book is also available on Amazon.

Stoopid Stuf: American Heaven
Because you demanded it (well, maybe just because we wanted to), Kevin Minor and I have released our second Stoopid Stuf book, entitled American Heaven. As with our last book, there is a toon inside that expands on this premise. We are unveiling the new book this weekend at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi, MI, but if you are impatient, you can get it now on Amazon.
We are also releasing a black and white collection of the first two books and that will be called 50 Shades Of Stoopid. But, more on that later in the week.

Unlawful Good, A Crime Noir Anthology, Part Four
Here is the cover to the story that I illustrated in the Unlawful Good anthology with colors by Harry Saxon. The story is by Brian Visaggio and lettered by Zakk Saam. Everything edited by Heather Antos. I'll have copies with me this weekend at the Motor City Comic Con.

Bifocals And Beer Goggles
These two beauties are the front and back covers of the Stoopid Stuf book before colors and text. You can see some of the changes that were made and effects added to make the covers look as completed. The book debuted this past weekend at the Motor City Comic Con, but if you didn't snag a copy then you can always pick one up through either Kevin or I and also on Amazon.com.

Motor City Comic Con 2012
This weekend (Fri-Sun), I will be set up in artists alley at the Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mi, so stop on by and say hello. I will have a few new prints, including the one above, as well as my new Muck Man comic book. Two of the cast members of The Boondock Saints (Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocca) and Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) will be in the house, so make sure that you stop by my table to pick up a print to have them sign for you!
There will be some good artists on hand, including The Minor Brothers (Matt, Jake, Kevin), Jay Shimko, Matt Busch and Lin Zy, Chris Caldwell and Mark LeMeiux, just to name a few. So, come on by and show some support!
This should be a fun weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, talking shop and kicking back a few root beers.

Motor City Comic Con 2010, Part Two
Here are a few pictures from last weekend's Motor City Comic Con:
This was by far my best con yet and it was great to see some old friends and meet some new ones. A big thank you is in order to everyone who stopped by my little niche at the con!

Motor City Comic Con 2009
Last weekend was my first ever appearance as a guest artist at the Motor City comic Con. My buddie Matt has been urging me to do this for the past three cons, but I never felt quite ready. But, as I have learned, I will never be ready. For anything! So, this was my year to jump in and enjoy. Another of my friends, Darin, was my guest and helper for the weekend and we had been talking about doing the show for years, like, way back in the early nineties, or something. So, it was nice that we finally got to experience it.

This was my view for most of the day on Saturday. Like the guy next to me said, "chicks dig R2."
Matt Busch and Tracy Surgener scaring off customers on an already slow Sunday.
This was my set-up. I had prints, original paintings, copies of my cartoon books and sketch cards.
This was a really good weekend and I had a lot of fun doing it. I was lucky to be set up right next to Matt Busch and Alex Beuchel, so there at least was someone to talk to. The traffic flow right in front of us wasn't all that great (we were in a big area), but we were in the celebrity area, which was kind of cool. Just three booths over was Gil "Buck Rogers" Gerard and we were right across from the playmates (sweet) and some scary wrestlers.
Many thanks to the people and friends who stopped by to make a purchase or to just chat about art and comics and stuff.

Motor City Comic Con

This afternoon I fought the endless miles of construction and headed out there to set up my small corner in hopes that someone might purchase some goodies from me. I will have official sketch cards, prints. original artwork and a couple of self-published books of my cartoons, the latest being a collection of my late 80's cartoon strip Wade's World.
Above, is the cover to the cartoon book and a black and white scan of a painting (I'll post the finished version next week) of Night Owl from the movie Watchmen. So, if you're going, make sure you stop on by my booth and say hello.
