These are most of the cards that I did for the Star Wars Holocron set released by Topps yesterday. I will post my Artist Proofs soon. My focus on this set were from the last season of The Clone Wars and the 1st season of The Mandalorian. 

A Michigan To Texas Birthday Wish 2020

 

Each year, my friend Sandra down in Texas gets internet pics posted for her birthday and hopefully, she still gets a bunch of them. This year's pic is from this past October when I went for an open air helicopter ride. One can see my knee as we did a steep left bank, and that scene is a pretty good fall sky in Michigan.

Patton M.O.D.O.K.

 

As much as I'm looking forward to watching the animated M.O.D.O.K., I have to say that I was a bit disappointed that we will not see Patton Oswalt's face as the A.I.M. super villain.

I have a lot to catch up on in regards to work done these past few months. Some I can't show as of yet, but some I can, so here is the 3rd drawing in a series of work being done in the mentorship program with Giuseppe Castellano through The Illustration Dept. These scenes are my adaptations of the Jules Verne book Master of the World. There's more to come from this series, as well as another that we are working on involving moments in history.

I'm somewhat behind on posting the work that I have been doing amidst my 6 month mentorship program with Giuseppe Castellano, as I have been gratefully busy as of late. This is the second drawing done involving scenes from the Jules Verne book, Master of the World. It has been challenging to not only compose these scenes, but to design the characters, the vehicle, the settings, etc. Guiseppe is one hell of an art director and his insights have been a boon for me. If you are not familiar with Guiseppe and the Illustration Dept., one would do well to check out the forum, the classes, the bookshop and the podcast.

Yves Tanguy Sketch

 

I've been super busy as of late and will have much to show, hopefully soon. In the meantime, I couldn't resist doing a sketch of my 2nd favorite surrealist, Yves Tanguy. Dali, owed a lot of his early ideas to this guy, this Tanguy. His wife, Kay Sage, was quite a surrealist painter, as well. Maybe better. Further examinations of her works are a definite must.
