Inktober Day Two: Tranquil

Inktober Day Two.

Today's prompt is 'Tranquil.' I'm not sure if this little guy is at peace or if he's half-baked. Either way, I like to think that he's just resting after a long day of chomping on bugs. And he found a nice, comfortable stump to do it on.

Inktober Day One: Poisonous

So, I'm going to try this Inktober thingie that all the kids are talking about. A drawing a day for the month of October based on word prompts. Day One is 'Poisonous.'

Inktober is a bit different from Drawlloween, or whatever it is called, but I'm going to try to make each day somewhat Halloweenish or horrorish, if you will. 

So, hear ya go, Day One. I know people just love yellowjackets like I do...

Kayak Cartoon

So, a little over a year ago I submitted some cartoons to a kayak fishing magazine and they seemed to be very receptive to possibly publishing some of my work. Fast forward to about a month ago, I see the top cartoon accompanying one of their articles on fishing in complicated situations. I'm not sure if this is an out and out rip-off, but it sure seems like it. Mine is the one below. I also found it a bit suspicious that the date on the top illustration is the same year that I submitted mine. 

I've never had this happen to me before, but it does happen...

It could just be a coincidence, but you be the judge.

The Man In Black?

This image of Ed Harris as the Man in Black from the Westworld series has been vexing, to say the least. I'm trying to convey something that isn't quite getting there. There was something about the wrinkles around the eyes cast in shadow that was revealing to me of his character. I wanted to get that across. Although I didn't land it the way I wanted it, I'm kind of happy with this one. Always tinkering...
