Bruce Vader

So, I was down in Wyandotte today to drop off some artwork at the River's Edge Gallery and my gallery director gives me this print by John Long (I'm not sure, but he may be the one that does or did the syndicated cartoon strip, Lumpy Gravy).

Nice to know that Jeremy's thinking of me.

Aquarium Cartoon

At the Belle Isle Aquarium there are, at times, some behind the scenes action that is always going on and for awhile there were a few sneaky bandits that were coming at night and having a late night snack. We could see the muddy footprints going up the wall to an access panel and scenes of a Mission: Impossible scenario were inevitable. I haven't heard much about our late night visitors since the new roof was put on, but they might have just limited their activity some.

Keep in mind that the aquarium is open every Saturday from 10-3!

Batman: The Legend Sketch Cards

Here are roughly half of the sketch cards that I did for Cryptozoic Entertainment's very soon to be released trading card set. I had a lot of fun with this set and I hope that it shows. More to follow!

A Michigan To Texas Birthday Wish 2012

For a few years now my friend Sandra has been collecting photos from her internet friends for her birthday and my photo for her this year is one from my trip to Iowa last month. This is a painting by Marvin Cone, a painter that hailed from Cedar Rapids. The painting is called Three Doorways and was painted in 1951. Cone was a friend and colleague of regionalist painter Grant Wood.

Happy Birthday, Sandra! Hope you enjoy the pic and your day!
