Guardians Of The Galaxy Sketch Cards

These are some of my Guardians of the Galaxy sketch cards done for the soon to be released set by Upper Deck (that empty space was a rejected card, hence not being able to see it). These images are from the Marvel Comics (old and new) and not from the movie, although it's being tied in with that, of course.

Kin

Kin
15x20
india ink and wash on illustration board

This is a photo in lieu of a proper scan, but I am scrunched for time here! This will be one of the five pieces that I will have in the Heroes and Villains show at St. Cece's Pub in Corktown starting tonight at six. This is a very cool place run by very nice folks. It's an old church complete with stained glass windows. So, come on by today through Sunday, look at some art, eat some good food and have a drink or two. The artists that will be representing are: Bill Pulkovski, John Marroquin, Kelly O'Hara, Tony Miello, Danny Dunbar, Erick Gutierrez (sp), Chris Sanchez, among others.

Check out my previous post for all the details or click on the link for directions.

Heroes And Villains Gallery Show

This Thursday through Sunday I will have a few pieces of art in this show. St. Cece's is an old church converted to a pub and is a very cool place right in the heart of Corktown. The show will feature art by the area's finest talent. And me.

The opening is Thursday night at six and we will also be selling prints of our works. C'mon down, have a beer, a meal and check out some art.

'Possum Warlord

So…. our older dog came in the house the other night with a mouthful of blood. After checking to see that she was fine, I ventured out into the night to see what she got a hold of. Puddle of blood. Check. Opossum leg. Check. Ugh, she bit the leg of an opossum right off and there it was. I felt bad for the little critter and hoped that he will survive the attack. Maybe we will see him again emerging from the shadows from time to time with a wooden leg, the Opossum Warlord of the neighborhood. Legends are born in this way. This is what I tell myself.
